Maintenance Intern

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Internship position is designed to provide experience in special projects for Peak Management’s portfolio of residential properties.

We have mutliple locations for internships in Michigan: Grand Rapids, East Lansing, Ann Arbor, Jackson, and Detroit. Please include a cover letter when you apply on which location you are interested in

Experiences May Include:

• Assist with cabinet and counter top installs
• Deck/balcony, door repair
• Pipe soldering
• Repair of faucets and fixtures
• Replacement and repair of appliances
• Electrical work
• Light Carpentry
• Painting
• Renovation demo work

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in the trades and or in building construction/repair
• Natural mechanical ability
• Experience with general power tools
• Enjoys working with their hands and repairing things (previous woodworking a plus)
• Great work ethic and attitude
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.
