SUMMARY
Performs a variety of duties to provide customer service by explaining and processing investments and other financial services, and correct records by performing the following duties. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Provide customers with excellent customer service by accepting and processing any and all financial transactions presented to the Teller to include but not limited to various types of deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wire transfers, stop payments, check cashing and cash advances within the set guidelines and limits. The will done in conjunction with traveling to different branches within the region.

• Traveling to and from branches within the region as coverage for short staffed branch
• Issuing cashier's checks and redeeming savings bonds
• Answer customer questions, investigate, and correct errors
• Balance customer accounts
• Balance, replenish, and research ATM/ PTM transactions
• Process check orders for customers
• Place appropriate holds on savings and checking accounts as needed
• Comply with regulations by completing CTR's and OFAC checks
• Run large volume deposits
• Identify the need for and cross sell other banking products such as debit cards, online banking, mobile banking, e-services, etc.
• Be familiar with the Wealth Management Department, Consumer & Mortgage Loans and
• Commercial Loans in order to make referrals
• Interview customers to obtain information and explain available financial services such as savings and checking accounts, IRA's and Certificates of Deposit
• Clean and organize the branch/work area
• Balance drawers within established guidelines/goals
• Preparing individual daily settlements of teller cash and find offages through the teller system, and Synergy
• Sign cashier's checks within assigned limits
• Assist with opening and closing the branch during the absence of traditional branch staff
• Handle upset customers
• Cross train in customer sales
• Handle vault duties which could include buying and selling cash, balancing and finding offage
• Close accounts when necessary

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three weeks training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
This position is primarily responsible for handling customer transactions, resolving problems and pursuing sales opportunities. Empathetic listening skills, strong interpersonal skills along with a sincere desire to assist the customer while protecting the Bank's interests are required.

An open, willing to assist and strong quality customer service approach to work is expected along with the ability to work beyond their normal job duties.
