Thrive + Conquer Pediatric Therapy is a private, family-centered practice dedicated to helping children thrive in their daily lives and conquer their therapy goals through play-based, individualized care. We specialize in speech and language therapy and are now expanding our services to include occupational therapy .

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist (OTR) to take on a lead role in developing and launching our new OT program . This position offers a unique opportunity to shape a growing service line, collaborate closely with the clinic owner, and make a lasting impact on the children and families we serve.

Position Overview

The OT Lead Clinician will play a key role in establishing, developing, and leading the occupational therapy department. This includes program design, clinical standards, space setup, community outreach, and ongoing patient care. The ideal candidate is passionate about pediatrics, highly self-motivated, and excited to build something new from the ground up within a supportive and creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the clinic’s occupational therapy program , including evaluation protocols, treatment plans, and service models.
• Provide direct OT evaluation and treatment for children with sensory, fine motor, self-care, and feeding needs.
• Collaborate with the speech therapy team to support interdisciplinary care and holistic development.
• Assist in designing and equipping a pediatric sensory/OT space that promotes play and engagement.
• Participate in and lead community outreach efforts to promote new OT services.
• Establish documentation standards, forms, and workflow processes for OT services.
• Provide mentorship or guidance for future occupational therapists or assistants joining the team.
• Contribute to the clinic’s vision by helping create group programs, workshops, and family education sessions.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTR/L) from an accredited program
• Active Michigan OT license (or eligibility for licensure)
• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated skills in sensory integration, emotional regulation, fine motor, and feeding therapy
• Strong initiative and leadership ability
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Interest or experience in program development or private practice growth
