Mechanical Development Engineer - Mechanical Integration
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and release housing, casting, and structural mechanical components.
- Ensure effective mechanical integration across assemblies, including interfaces and tolerance management.
- Perform engineering calculations related to structural integrity, vibration, fatigue, and thermal effects.
- Create and maintain DFMEAs for assigned components and sub-systems.
- Support CAE activities, validation testing, and prototype build events.
- Developing engineering specifications for the product.
- Creating prototype build/control plans, reviewing and approving prototype material for builds, and signing off mechanical hardware prototypes for usage in internal and external testing.
- Create Advanced Design Verification Plan and Report (ADVP&R) to validate the component performance, and issue laboratory work orders to direct technicians in conducting component testing.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure casting, machining, and assembly feasibility.
- Interface with suppliers, Purchasing, and Supplier Development Engineers on technical topics.
- Support customer engineering discussions, reviews, and issue resolution.
- Participate in engineering change management, VA/VE, and NBO concept development.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Experience in housing and casting design.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and component integration.
- Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, root cause analysis and Teamcenter.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Salary Range:
