Certified Medical Receptionist

Summary of Job
- Greet patients with a POSITIVE attitude and engage in POLITE interactions with them
- Collect payment from patients on entry, checking AND asking for any previous balances and insurances (including change of insurances)
- Scheduling future appointments with patients and relevant parties (such as drug reps, potential hires, etc...)
- Reading and responding to many emails (especially from our biller, patients, etc...
- Working under general supervision according to established policies and procedures
- Providing excellent patient care by performing and/or assisting in various medical procedures and/or tests.
- Capable of performing and/or assisting in examination of patients, including but not limited to: vital signs, basic medical procedures, various medical treatments, etc...
- Assisting in general clerical duties.
- Handling referrals , patient communications, etc...

- Wed: 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM
- Thu: 09:00 AM - 04:00 PM

- Sun: Closed
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Graduate of approved program for Medical Assistant and/or 1 year of Medical Assistant experience with current certification.
- Preferred to be BLS certified within 90 days of hire/transfer.
- Experience as a medical assistant with references.
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, preferably Practice Fusion.
- Familiarity with the referral process.
- Proficiency in the English language including but not limited to: usage, grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Ability to operate Microsoft Word and other software and/or medical equipment as specified.
- Possess decent typing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
- Proficient time management, collaboration, and listening skills.
- Ability to understand and apply relevant legal concepts (i.e., confidentiality).
- Willing to work overtime.
- All new hires are subject to a 90-day probationary period and acknowledge this upon accepting employment.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 33 per week
