Supervisor: HR Manager
Job Responsibility Summary: The HR Compliance & Employee Relations Specialist will support employee relations and compliance initiatives at our New Boston manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with plant leadership to ensure consistent application of policies, strong employee engagement, and adherence to state and federal labor regulations.
Position Requirements:
· 5–10+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
· Strong background in employee relations and workplace investigations
· Solid understanding of employment law and compliance standards
· Ability to influence and advise leadership with professionalism and discretion
· Experience working with hourly workforces preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification a plus
Job Duties Include, but not limited to.
Employee Relations
- Lead and document employee investigations, including performance, conduct, and workplace concerns
- Coach supervisors and managers through corrective action processes
- Ensure consistency and fairness in policy application
- Support conflict resolution and workplace culture initiatives
- Maintain accurate and defensible documentation practices
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex employee relations matters at the facility.
Compliance & Risk Management
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
· Support internal audits and regulatory readiness
· Assist with unemployment claims, workers’ compensation coordination, and related documentation
· Maintain and update HR policies and procedures
Performance & Leadership Support
· Partner with plant leadership on performance management processes
· Assist with development and implementation of training initiatives
· Support succession planning discussions and workforce planning efforts
HR Operations Support
· Oversee onboarding processes and ensure compliance documentation is completed accurately
· Support benefits administration during open enrollment periods
· Monitor HR metrics and reporting for the facility
