A registered nurse with experience in operating room care is needed for a contract position in Charlevoix, MI. This role offers the opportunity to apply your clinical skills in a dynamic surgical environment, supporting orthopedic, general, endo-vascular, urgent care, and obstetrics cases. Your expertise will contribute to delivering safe, high-quality care to patients requiring surgical interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room setting.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outes.
• Prepare and maintain OR equipment and supplies in accordance with health system standards.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during surgical procedures.
• Document nursing care and surgical site information accurately and promptly.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Operating Room (OR) nursing experience preferred.
• Background in orthopedic, general surgery, endo-vascular, urgent care, or obstetric nursing is highly favored.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• Possession of a current Michigan nursing license verified through LARA and Nursys.
• A recently pleted skills checklist for RN specialties (within one year) is required.
