Our client is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to oversee commercial operations. This role requires high-level technical troubleshooting, component assembly, and occasional system installation. Additionally, it offers reliable year-round work, as the employee will transition to snow-related duties during the winter months.
Based in the Metro Detroit area, our client is a premier landscape and commercial maintenance provider with over 30 years of industry experience. Compensation & Benefits
- $24.00 and $30.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain predominantly commercial irrigation systems.
- Execute daily technical tasks such as switching heads, managing valves, and wire tracking.
- Assemble and install various irrigation system components.
- Replace system clocks.
- Program advanced irrigation timers, specifically Hydrawise and Centralus.
- Report daily to the facility to pick up the company truck and trailer for route execution.
- Pivot to snow and ice management tasks during the winter season to maintain year-round employment.
- Embrace cross-training and assist with other operational landscaping tasks when necessary.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience working as an Irrigation Technician.
- Strong familiarity with Hunter and Rainbird equipment is highly preferred.
- Valid Chauffer’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must clear a mandatory background check.
