CNC Machinist
Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Wyoming, MI
Pay: $25-35/hr Depending on Experience
Schedule: 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm)
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T specifications
- Load raw materials, install tooling, and set tool offsets
- Edit CNC programs at the machine using G-code as needed
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections
- Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues related to tooling, dimensions, or surface finish
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Follow all company safety, quality, and lean manufacturing standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
- Previous CNC machining experience required
- Experience with CNC milling and/or turning machines
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience machining steel or heavy industrial components
- Multi-axis machining experience
- Familiarity with ISO or similar quality systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
