Sampling Agent/Laboratory Assistant - MI
JOB DESCRIPTION
SAMPLING AGENT | LABORATORY ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is for a dual role that includes travel and laboratory-related work. Industry experience preferred.
1. The sampling agent responsibilities include traveling to client sites, randomly and representatively collecting medical and/or adult-use cannabis samples using aseptic technique and documenting appropriate information on chain of custodies and manifests to transfer the samples securely back to the laboratory.
2. The laboratory assistant responsibilities include general duties throughout the lab including but not limited to sample preparation, intake and homogenization, administrative assistance with supplies and assisting the scientific team with other clerical or general housekeeping requirements.
TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS, must:
· Have a valid driver’s license
· Have a clean driving record
· Be at least 21 years old
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Teams, Excel and Outlook.
TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS, preferred:
· Cannabis industry experience
· Driving experience
· 2 years Customer service experience
· 1 year laboratory experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Comply with company policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with state medical and adult use cannabis regulations.
· Stratified Sample collection from client site
· Interface with clients and effectively relay information back to laboratory staff
· Securely transport samples from client site to laboratory
· Complete chain of custody and manifest paperwork using GDP
· Responsible for accurate weighing and recording all product weights
· Enter samples into web-based information management system
· Works in a timely manner and strives to improve quality and maintain accuracy
· Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
