Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support production schedules and optimize costs.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers while managing existing vendor relationships and performance.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements and secure supply.
• Ensure the timely procurement and delivery of raw materials, components, and MRO items to prevent production delays.
• Monitor supplier performance, address quality issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or supply chain integrity.
• Manage inventory levels effectively to balance supply with demand, minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, contract management, and inventory optimization.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in supply chain management principles and best practices.
• Proven ability to drive cost savings, mitigate risks, and develop robust supplier relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, particularly SAP or Oracle.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
• Experience with global sourcing strategies and international trade compliance.
• Proficiency in data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
