Who we are looking for:

Slate is looking for a Front-End Engineer II to build customer-facing experiences in the electric vehicle space. You must be able to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced startup environment where your contributions have a direct impact on the company's direction and success and should not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

What you get to do:

• You work closely with other Software Engineers and Front-End Engineers to design the system architecture.
• You collaborate with UX and Product teams to invent new experiences and build mobile / web apps that put customers first.
• You prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility of novel user interfaces.
• You code and test front-end components.
• You own end-to-end code quality, system tests, functional tests, and integration.

What you bring to the team:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Front-End, Web, or Mobile software development using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 4+ years of professional experience utilizing Computer Science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis).
• 4+ years of experience working in the Agile methodology for software development.
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with common Front-End technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.
• Knowledge of web services technologies, such as REST, WSDL, and XSD.
• Experience building scalable, distributed, Front-End experiences.
