Physician - Hospitalist- OB
**Job Description:**
We are looking for an OB Hospitalist doctor who will:
- Provide care for pregnant patients and help during labor and after delivery.
- Manage emergencies related to pregnancy and help with deliveries and other patients needing OB/GYN care.
- Check on patients, write orders for their care, and help in emergencies with other women’s health concerns.
- Work closely with experienced staff, including nurses in labor and delivery, neonatologists, nurse practitioners in the NICU, and nurse managers.
- Work with a Level III NICU, caring for newborns who need special attention.
- Teach and supervise OB/GYN residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Work with other doctors, nurses, and specialists to make sure all patients get the best care.
- Work 24-hour shifts (about 6-7 shifts a month) and help during holidays in a supportive team environment.

**Qualifications:**
- Must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN (needs to become certified within two years) – this is required with no exceptions.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in OB/GYN is also required.
- Must have a valid Michigan medical license when starting the job.
- Must have a DEA license.
- Must have BLS and ACLS certifications and keep them updated.
- A clean history of malpractice and licenses is preferred.

- Michigan
**Additional Requirements:**
- If you are truly Board Eligible, you must become Board Certified within two years of eligibility. You also need a valid Michigan license, a DEA license, and BLS and ACLS certifications, keeping them updated.
