Pizza Maker - Job Responsibilities
Customer service: Food preparation: Point-of-sale (POS) operation: Store cleanliness:
Prepare ingredients (cutting vegetables, portioning meats, grating cheese, etc.) daily
Pizza Preparation & Cooking
•\tPrepare dough according to established recipes and portioning standards.
•\tStretch, toss, and shape dough by hand to required size and thickness.
•\tApply sauce, cheese, and toppings uniformly following portion control guidelines.
•\tOperate pizza ovens (deck, conveyor, or wood-fired) and monitor cooking times to ensure consistent quality.
•\tAdjust cooking techniques or oven settings as needed for optimal results.
•\tPrepare specialty pizzas and menu items as ordered.
2. Food Prep & Inventory
•\tPrepare ingredients (cutting vegetables, portioning meats, grating cheese, etc.) daily.
•\tLabel and store ingredients properly following FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation.
•\tMonitor inventory levels of key ingredients and report shortages to the manager.
•\tAssist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
3. Food Safety & Cleanliness
•\tFollow all food handling and sanitation procedures according to health department standards.
•\tMaintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
•\tClean ovens, prep surfaces, utensils, and equipment at the end of shifts.
•\tDispose of waste and recyclables properly.
4. Customer Service
•\tGreet customers when working front-of-house or open kitchen areas.
•\tAnswer basic menu or ingredient questions.
•\tHandle special requests, allergies, or modifications accurately.
•\tWork efficiently during rush periods to ensure timely service.
5. Teamwork & Communication
•\tCoordinate with other kitchen staff and cashiers for smooth order flow.
•\tCommunicate ingredient shortages or equipment issues promptly.
•\tSupport coworkers during busy periods or staff shortages.
6. Additional Duties
•\tAssist in training new kitchen staff when required.
•\tFollow all company policies, including uniform, punctuality, and safety procedures.
•\tParticipate in opening and closing duties as assigned.
•\tUphold brand standards and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Skills & Qualifications
•\tPrevious experience in pizza making or food preparation preferred.
•\tKnowledge of pizza dough preparation and baking methods.
•\tAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
•\tStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•\tExcellent teamwork and communication skills.
•\tBasic math skills for portioning and inventory tasks.
•\tMust be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
