About the Role

Enchanted Explorers Daycare is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Daycare Teachers to join our team! Whether you're an experienced Lead Teacher or an aspiring educator, we welcome you to be part of our community.

Our teachers play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive. You will be tasked to design and lead meaningful and fun activities that support children's cognitive, emotional, and physical development, while also catering to their curiosity and independence.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our teaching team, you will help create a positive learning environment. Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:

• Planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Encouraging social and emotional development through positive guidance and role modeling
• Supporting each child through inclusive and individualized care
• Creating a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, cooperation, and independence
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom in accordance with state licensing requirements
• Assisting with daily routines such as meals, rest time, and transitions
• Observing and documenting children’s developmental progress
• Communicating with families regarding classroom activities and children’s development
• Working collaboratively with team members to ensure consistency in routines and classroom management

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Experience working in a licensed child care center, preschool, or early childhood program
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hiring)
• Ability to pass background check required by the State of Michigan
• Basic understanding of child development and early learning principles

Preferred Qualifications (for Lead Teacher consideration)

• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• At least two years of experience in a licensed child care or preschool setting

Position Details:

• Job Type: Part-time
• Fixed Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM-6:00 PM (No evenings or weekends)
• Pay: $14.00-$15.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

*Final rate depends on verified education, credentials, and childcare-related experience

• Probationary Period: 60 days or less, depending on performance.
