RCC works exclusively with state and local government clients to provide services related to this area of taxation and tax administration. RCC Auditors are required to perform a broad range of responsibilities including working as call center agents, tracking account activity, database updates, and various project related tasks. RCC Government Services team members are integral to an expanding service line, with great opportunities for growth in an active work environment.

and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing and analyzing personal and real property assessment records.
• Responsible for creating and analyzing specialized reports from assessment databases.
• Responsible to interact with taxpayers and review financial records for purposes of performing audit work across the assigned work area
• Responsible for performing audits as well as support other auditors in performing more complex reviews
• Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, review of work performed by other staff, gathering research on accounts and interacting with local assessment officials to perform job duties

Job Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of a College degree / degree in accounting preferred.
• Candidates must be able to pass a thorough background check.
• Candidates must be able to travel.
• Candidates must be active team members who enjoy working with others and interacting with the general public.
• Experience is open, but the candidate must have strong organizational skills, verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated advanced knowledge of excel.
• Knowledge of Business Personal Property Tax or experience with state and local gov't tax regulations is also a strong plus.
• Knowledge of CAMA (assessment databases) or experience working in assessment office are highly desirable

Location: Brighton, MI ( Hybrid 3days in office )

Salary: depending on experience levels

Experience: 1-3 years

Required Travel: Possibly up to 50% in-state

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
