Study Facilitator

Job Title: Study Facilitator Job Description This role involves conducting human subject research with participants using various technology products, particularly wearable devices in an exercise setting. The Study Facilitator will monitor participants and collect data throughout the sessions, ensuring accurate data collection and adherence to protocols. Responsibilities include consenting participants, taking vitals and measurements, setting up devices and monitoring equipment, and guiding participants through the study. Responsibilities + Conduct research with human participants on wearable devices in an exercise setting. + Consent participants and take necessary vitals and measurements (height, weight, EKG) at the beginning and throughout the session. + Ensure participants are properly set up with devices and monitoring equipment. + Observe participants using devices during various activities according to protocol. + Ensure proper data monitoring and collection through equipment and manually. + Guide participants throughout the study. Essential Skills + Experience in research and data entry. + Ability to implement protocols and execute test procedures. + Background in science, exercise science, kinesiology, or biology with a Bachelor's Degree. + Technical proficiency to operate test devices and perform data entry. + Ability to stand for an entire shift and work in a clinical research setting. + Familiarity with gym equipment and exercise knowledge. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in human subject research and data analysis. + Experience as a personal trainer. + Good interpersonal skills for directing participants through the study. Work Environment The work environment offers morning and afternoon shifts, with AM shift from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM and PM shift from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Facilitators can choose to work either or both shifts, or double shifts based on their schedule. Lunches are provided, and the role involves both standing for long periods and desk work, working with participants in a simulated environment, and possibly conducting some studies outdoors. The dress code is casual but presentable, suitable for active demonstration. Training is typically done during the day shift, but accommodations are available for evening shift training if needed. The study will run through the end of the year, potentially into early next year. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Farmington Hills, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
