• Location: Ann Arbor, MI 48109 (Michigan nursing jobs)
• Facility: Level 1 Trauma Center, Operating Room
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Dates: 10/7/2025 (Epic experience required), 9/30/2025, 10/20/2025, 10/21/2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (through 1/6/2026)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (09:00 – 21:00), 36 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2360–$2420
• On-Call: Required; 30-minute response time (max 4 weeknight & 3 weekend call shifts per 4 weeks)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Scrubs Provided
• Charting: Epic EMR (Epic experience preferred for 10/7/2025 start)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (required at submission; not compact)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (1.5 years preferred)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proven experience in at least three of the following: Thoracic, ENT, Neuro, Oral surgery
• Level 1 trauma center and Epic charting experience preferred
• Two direct supervisory references (charge references not accepted)
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Ability to respond to on-call within 30 minutes
• Pre-approved time off: up to two requests (no RTO first week)

OR RN Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub in complex surgical procedures: adult neurosurgery, otolaryngology, oral maxillofacial, thoracic (excluding transplant), and spine (neuro and ortho)
• Deliver direct patient care in a 1:1 ratio within a high-acuity, fast-paced operating room environment
• Participate in on-call rotation, ensuring rapid response for emergent surgical cases
• Adhere to infection control, fire safety, and universal protocols
• Operate advanced surgical equipment: Storz integration, Skytron lights/booms/beds, Pyxis medication system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (radiology, pharmacy, interpretation services)
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Support the opening and workflow optimization of a new surgical pavilion
