• Position: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical ICU (SICU / MSICU)
• Location: Midland, Michigan (Midland, MI 48640) — Michigan travel nurse opportunity
• Setting: On-site Surgical ICU / Medical-Surgical ICU
• Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Mar 30, 2026 – Jun 29, 2026)
• Shift: Nights – 12-hour shifts (6:42 PM – 7:12 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Friday and Saturday)
• On-Call: No call
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070 - $2,180 (competitive travel nurse pay)

Travel ICU RN Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical ICU (SICU) / critical care RN experience (required)
• Open-heart / cardiac surgery experience (required)
• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and/or Nursys verification) (required)
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Current ICU skills checklist (within 1 year) (required)
• Two supervisory references from the last two years (required)
• Prior travel nursing assignment history (preferred)
• Epic EMR experience (preferred)
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Midland, MI (per facility policy)
• All scheduling requests must be submitted with your application; requests after offer may not be approved

Key Responsibilities

• Provide integrated pre- and post-operative critical care and monitoring for surgical and critically ill patients using the nursing process and advanced clinical judgment
• Assess and monitor patients in the Surgical ICU for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs
• Organize, coordinate, and implement individualized total patient care in the intensive care setting
• Evaluate patient progress by correlating assessment findings with expected outcomes and care plans
• Collaborate and consult with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and promptly in the EMR and communicate clinical changes to the team
