We are currently searching for a Diesel Mechanicto join our team.

The Diesel Mechanic will work in and help with the diagnosis, repair, service, and maintenance of vehicles, trailers, equipment, tools, etc...

Ensures adherence to relevant regulations, requirements, company policies, and safe working practices and procedures to facilitate the smooth operation and function of an effective repair and preventative maintenance program.

This is a full-time position typically working Monday-Fridaywith occasional Saturday work and overtime possible. Manthei Construction offers excellent health benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, product discounts, and more!

Essential Duties

• Be fully aware of and observe all governmental and company policies
• Diagnose problems and issues associated with faulty and malfunctioning trucks and equipment
• Physically perform maintenance to trucks, heavy equipment, etc.
• Make all repairs in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairing and replacing parts as necessary
• Complete work as rapidly as possible while sustaining quality
• Keep work area neat and clean
• Perform other duties as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None

Other Skills, Abilities, Licenses or Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License required
• CDL Class A preferred

Education and Experience

• 2-4 years’ experience in diesel and hydraulic mechanics required.
• Additional experience in welding, fabricating, and mechanical repairs on heavy trucks and equipment preferred.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, team members are occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Will have close and frequent contacts with vendors, truck drivers, and team members of the company in many types of situations.
