**Minimum of 6 months experience as a veterinary assistant in a veterinary clinic setting preferred**

We are looking to add to our team a veterinary assistant. This posting is for candidates that have experience in a vet clinic setting. Certification is helpful, but not required as long as you have experience.

Duties will include restraining pets (cats and dogs mainly) for treatment, exam, and/or vaccinations. Assisting the doctors during appointments, taking medical history from owners and relaying information to the doctors, running diagnostics, cleaning cages, among other assistant/technician duties. You will also be cross trained as a receptionist.

At six weeks on the job, you will be evaluated and your wage will be adjusted according to your current skillset and trainability. We have a graduated level training program each employee works through and your wage depends on how quickly you progress through the program. The wages listed in this listing are for the first level of the program.

Our current need is for a full time veterinary assistant, 35-38 hours/week. Required availability is Monday 7:30am-5:30pm, Tuesday 7:30-5:30 pm, Thursday 7:30-5:30 pm, Wednesday 7:30am-7pm, and Friday 7:30-Noon. Please do not apply if you cannot work the required available hours. The schedule may not include all of these hours, but you should be available all of these hours.

Dr. Matt Burr purchased the clinic in late 2020 from Dr. Denney who founded it in the early 1990's. We are a full service veterinarian that has digital radiographs, ultrasound, and Idexx In-house laboratory, as well as routine and some orthopedic surgical services.
