Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Large Commercial Lines Team Assistant to support our Commercial Lines department in Northville, MI. This hybrid full-time remote position plays a vital role in servicing large, complex commercial accounts and supporting Account Managers and Producers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers meaningful exposure to large commercial risks and provides a strong foundation for continued career growth within the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with insurance-related inquiries, including endorsements, certificates of insurance, policy changes, and billing questions.
- Support Account Managers and Producers in servicing a portfolio of large commercial lines accounts, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service delivery.
- Prepare, issue, and track certificates of insurance, including setting up and maintaining certificate masters as directed.
- Accurately process policy changes, renewals, audits, and cancellations in accordance with carrier and agency procedures.
- Communicate directly with insurance carriers to obtain information, request endorsements, and resolve policy-related matters on behalf of clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Applied Epic agency management system, including policy data, documentation, and activity notes.
- Prepare insurance data and documentation for client correspondence, internal reporting, and Word-based documents.
- Provide administrative and workflow support to ensure efficient department operations and meet service standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in large commercial lines insurance customer service; agency experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of the Applied Epic (Epic) agency management system, including policy setup, endorsements, certificates, and document management. (preferred)
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required. (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Proficient in Excel.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Account Managers, Producers, and internal teams.
- Salary Range: $45,000 – $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
