Job Opportunity – Nurse Practitioner – General Surgery – Michigan
Start Date: June 30, 2026
Location: Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM onsite; coverage through December 31, 2026; weekend coverage required
Highlights:
- Inpatient trauma call coverage with trauma surgeons available for consultation
- Patient volume of 15-20 per shift
- Perform a variety of procedures including central line insertion, chest tube insertion, and vascular access devices
- Work with adult general surgical and trauma cases
- EMR system: Cerner
- Malpractice coverage included
Requirements:
- Active Michigan Nurse Practitioner license required
- ACLS and ATLS certifications required
- DEA certification required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Must be local to the area
- Experience with general surgical cases (adult and trauma) and procedural skills including central lines, chest tubes, and vascular access
- Current NPDB self-query (within one month) required at time of application
