Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 per year (plus overtime eligibility, project bonuses, and benefits)

Job Overview

DYAS Construction Management is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of commercial and industrial projects across the Great Lakes Region. As a Project Engineer, you will bridge the gap between design, field operations, and project management-ensuring projects meet technical specifications, quality standards, and scheduling milestones. This hybrid role combines on-site engagement with remote coordination, making it ideal for engineers who thrive in both the field and the office.

  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Provide technical support to field teams, subcontractors, and project managers.
  • Track project progress, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate RFIs, change orders, and design clarifications between stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, and clients to resolve technical challenges.
  • Support project close-out by ensuring final documentation and quality checks are complete.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of construction engineering or project support experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
  • EIT or PE license preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the Great Lakes Region for project assignments.

Schedule

  • Full-Time - Monday through Friday
  • Hybrid role with both on-site engagement and remote flexibility depending on project phase and location.

Location

  • Great Lakes Region - projects across Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota.
  • Travel to various job sites within the region is required; company support provided for travel and accommodations when necessary.
