Digital Print Operator Duties

• Operate high-speed digital printers (Canon 6000) to produce print jobs according to specifications
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot printer issues to minimize downtime
• Verify accuracy of print files, paper stock
• Monitor print quality and make adjustments to ensure consistency and compliance with standards
• Conduct quality checks and statement signoffs to verify correct envelope contents and address matching
• Understand the meaning of the statement codes at the bottom of the statements
• Collaborate with Team Members to ensure file readiness and optimal output

Mail Insert Machine Operator Duties

• Set up and operate automated mail inserting equipment (Blue Crest Epic)
• Load printed materials into feeders and ensure proper alignment and sequencing
• Monitor machine performance and resolve jams or mechanical issues promptly
• Conduct quality checks and statement signoffs to verify correct envelope contents and address matching
• Be able to make mechanical and technical adjustments on mail inserting equipment
• Understand the functionality of the inserters’ software
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mail inserting equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Understand the meaning of the statement codes at the bottom of the statements
• Responsible for overseeing your trayer’s work

Other Duties

• Checks with manager to obtain additional work assignments
• Ensure accuracy of work being performed to produce the highest quality product
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment around their equipment
• Assists with inventory maintenance of raw materials and supplies
• Encourage and promote the 5thGEN Core Values and Culture
• Follow all Sage policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification a plus

Qualifications/Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in digital printing or main inserting operations preferred
• Familiarity with print production software and mailing software
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management

Skills:

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
