Salary Range: $54,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss lathes according to production schedules and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings to ensure accurate part production.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Adjust machine offsets, change tooling, and troubleshoot minor operational issues to maintain optimal performance.
• Monitor machine performance, identify potential problems, and report major malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance.
• Document production data, quality records, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficient in tooling setup, offset adjustments, and fixture installation on Swiss machines.
• Skilled in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for quality inspection.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve common machining issues, tool wear, and part quality deviations.
• Foundational understanding of G-code and M-code for minor program adjustments and troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Ability to read and edit G-code programs.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
• Demonstrated ability to optimize machining processes for efficiency and tool life.
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills for minor issues.
