Quality Assurance Specialist
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. You will work alongside our QA Team, Development Team, Product Development Team, and Support Teams to ensure that our applications meet the highest standards for quality before release to customers. You will help create test plans, coordinate testing of new products and features, and integrate yourself with one or more of our product teams. A successful QA Specialist will have a background and a strong understanding of writing and reviewing user stories and feature requests to appropriately verify and create future test scenarios for regression and automated testing. Candidates should show excellent interpersonal skills for communication across teams which will be made up of both technical and non-technical individuals. You should be detail oriented, should have strong time management skills, and should be a hands-on and motivated learner who enjoys keeping up to date on the latest testing strategies. Prior experience in manual or automated testing or completion of a related quality assurance certification (CSTE, CAST, CTLF, etc.) is preferred but is not required for this position. As part of our company-wide focus on expanding the responsible use of AI technologies, we are looking for someone who is excited to explore and adopt modern AI‑assisted testing and productivity tools. - Become a domain knowledge master for our applications and modules from one or more of our product suites, both in the Windows desktop software and our Cloud-based SaaS (software as a service) offering.
- Contribute to exploratory and manual regression testing, test strategy planning, and test execution.
- Report and track defects and test failures, working closely with QA and application developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Help update and maintain test data for automated and manual tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, meet customer expectations, and participate in Agile methodologies.
- Participate in and provide documentation for test plans, cases, and scripts
- Work with the development team and stakeholders to define automated test strategies for new and existing features.
- Explore and adopt existing and emerging AI technologies to assist in testing capabilities and other team tasks
- P roficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies
- Familiarity with various testing tools including Jira, Shortcut, Trello etc.
- Experience testing SaaS applications, including testing considerations for testing API’s, third-party integrations, and performance testing
- Ability to write and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical team members
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities
- Proactive attitude toward staying updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think critically and provide detailed analysis of software issues
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in documentation
- Experienced in using various AI technologies related to testing methodologies
