Job Summary

We are seeking a Chemical Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Jackson, MI. This onsite role is ideal for a dependable production professional with manufacturing experience, forklift skills, and a strong commitment to safety.

As a Chemical Operator, you will support daily production operations by handling chemical products, operating material handling equipment, completing production documentation, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Key Responsibilities

- Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to move products safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and transport chemical products within the production area.
- Complete required production paperwork and basic computer entries accurately.
- Follow established safety procedures, handling guidelines, and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
- Support production goals by staying flexible for overtime or alternate shifts when needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour.
- Current listed pay: $19.00 per hour.
- Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
- Work Location: Onsite in Jackson, MI.
- Opportunity for potential full-time employment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Operate forklift and material handling equipment in a production setting.
- Load and move chemical products safely and efficiently.
- Complete production paperwork and basic computer-based documentation.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 or more years of manufacturing or production experience required.
- Forklift experience required.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. as needed.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, medical exams, and assessment test.
- Must be flexible to work overtime and other shifts if needed.
- Strong attention to safety, reliability, teamwork, and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in chemical production, industrial manufacturing, or material handling environments.
- Experience following safety procedures for chemical or regulated products.
- Stable work history in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing role.
