Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating technical and business projects to ensure successful delivery within defined scope, schedule, and budget. This role involves managing multiple complex initiatives, overseeing cross-functional teams, and driving execution through sound project management practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, accountability, and strong organizational and communication skills while ensuring projects align with strategic business objectives.

 

Job Description

  • Plan, manage, and execute projects in accordance with established corporate standards, operating procedures, and departmental processes.
  • Define project scope, milestones, timelines, budgets, risks, and resource allocation for all phases of assigned projects.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts among internal stakeholders, external vendors, and business partners to ensure project success.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and change controls, ensuring transparent communication and adherence to governance standards.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and proactive risk mitigation, incorporating best practices into project management processes.
  • Monitor and track project performance metrics against key milestones and budget targets.
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting through tools such as Microsoft Project Online, Project Server, and Power BI.
  • Oversee vendor performance to ensure alignment with project scope and contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate collaboration across diverse teams, promoting open communication and problem-solving.
  • Provide regular project updates to leadership, sponsors, and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Lead and support organizational change management activities tied to project outcomes.
  • Demonstrate judgment and initiative in resolving complex project issues and recommending process improvements.
  • Mentor and support junior project managers, providing guidance on project planning, execution, and reporting best practices.
  • Participate in or lead initiatives to improve Project Management Office (PMO) processes and tools.

 

Job Skills Required

  • Minimum 8 years of related professional experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Project Manager leading large-scale, cross-functional, or enterprise-level projects.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project Online or Project Server.
  • Experience generating project performance and status reports using Power BI.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Program Manager role preferred.
  • Experience with task tracking and agile methodologies using JIRA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, systems integration, and process improvement principles.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects with minimal supervision and make effective, data-driven decisions.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree in one of the above disciplines preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly preferred.
  • Additional certifications in program management, agile methodologies, or change management are a plus.
