• Active and valid Michigan Special Education teaching license
• Prior experience in a middle school special education setting is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of IEP process, progress monitoring, and positive behavioral support strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and fellow educators
• Ability to adapt instruction and resources to meet a spectrum of learning needs

Your primary responsibilities will entail:

• Designing and delivering individualized instruction for students with varying disabilities
• Developing, implementing, and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and providing regular updates to parents or guardians
• Collaborating with general education teachers to ensure the seamless integration of students within the broader school community
• Creating a supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth
