What You'll Be Doing

As an Electrical Machine Builder, you'll be responsible for wiring and assembling custom industrial equipment from the ground up.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Build and wire large industrial control panels
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
  • Install and terminate wiring for PLCs, servo drives, photo eyes, and vision systems
  • Wire machinery ranging from 12V through 480V
  • Install switchgear and three-phase power systems
  • Perform point-to-point wiring and component installation
  • Mount electrical panels, conduit, and hardware
  • Troubleshoot and verify wiring for proper functionality
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines
  • Follow all electrical safety and quality standards
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications:
  • Experience building and wiring industrial control panels
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with high and low voltage electrical systems (12V-480V)
  • Knowledge of three-phase power and electrical switchgear
  • Experience running PLC cables and mounting electrical components
  • Strong electrical assembly and machine wiring skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail
Preferred Experience:
  • PLC installation and integration
  • Servo drive, photo eye, and vision system wiring
  • Custom machinery or OEM equipment manufacturing
  • Conduit installation and machine building experience
  • Industrial automation or controls background
Work Environment

You'll be working in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility building brand-new, custom OEM machinery. This is not maintenance work or field service. Every project is unique, offering the opportunity to continuously learn and develop new skills.

Available Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Job Title: Electrical Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on electrical wiring and assembly of large control panels for specialized OEM machinery. You will read and interpret wiring schematics and diagrams, run PLC cables, mount components, and perform control wiring for customer products across a range of voltages up to 480V.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical panel control wiring assembly for customer products, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to specifications.
  • Read and interpret wiring schematics, wiring schedules, and point-to-point diagrams for OEM machinery and control panels.
  • Run PLC cables and mount electrical components, including switchgear and control devices, in large control panels.
  • Wire high and low voltage machinery from 12V, 24V, 120V, and 240V up to 480V in accordance with electrical standards and company procedures.
  • Install and wire electrical switchgear and three-phase electrical power systems for machinery and control panels.
  • Build and wire panels, including routing and terminating conductors, and ensuring proper labeling and organization.
  • Install and support PLC systems, servo drives, and vision systems, including mounting and running associated cables.
  • Mount panels and enclosures securely, ensuring proper alignment and compliance with mechanical and electrical requirements.
  • Run and terminate cables for vision systems, photo eyes, and servo drives to support machine control and automation.
  • Use conduit and other protective methods to route wiring safely and neatly within panels and machinery.
  • Verify wiring connections and perform basic checks to ensure systems are ready for testing and operation.
  • Collaborate with team members and follow work orders to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring schedules, and point-to-point diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and assembly of large control panels.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical switchgear and three-phase electrical power installations.
  • Experience wiring high and low voltage machinery across 12V, 24V, 120V, 240V, and 480V.
  • Skill in electrical assembly, including panel building and wiring.
  • Ability to run PLC cables and mount electrical components accurately and safely.
  • Experience mounting and running cables for vision systems, photo eyes, and servo drives.
  • Familiarity with conduit use and best practices for routing and protecting wiring.
  • Comfort working with OEM machinery and custom electrical solutions.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, well-lit facility working on new equipment and advanced OEM machinery. The company operates multiple shifts, including a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with overtime available and a second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., also with overtime opportunities. You will work in a modern production environment focused on electrical panel building, machinery wiring, and automation technologies, with organized workstations and a professional, safety-conscious atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr.
