Mechanic - Battle Creek Area
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and execute timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Install, commission, and test new production machinery and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or Millwright in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical diploma or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, or a related mechanical field.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical failures.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with advanced welding or fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing PLC-controlled systems or industrial robotics.
- Demonstrated experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and scheduling.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
