- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations, diagnostic interviews, and psychosocial assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy referrals, and community resources.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring efficacy and adjusting regimens as clinically appropriate.
- Provide crisis intervention and acute psychiatric stabilization for patients in need of urgent mental health services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including therapists, social workers, PCPs, and specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies.
- Participate in case conferences, peer consultations, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes.
- Provide consultations to other departments or referring providers as needed.
- Stay current with advances in psychiatric medicine through continuing medical education (CME) and evidence-based practice updates.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency program.
- Active and unrestricted Michigan medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN).
- Valid DEA license for controlled substance prescribing.
- 1-3 years of clinical psychiatry experience preferred; new graduates with strong training are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical documentation skills.
- Commitment to culturally competent, patient-centered, trauma-informed care.
- Competitive salary range: $200,000 - $280,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
