General Statement:
Under the direction of the Vice President-Chief Operating Officer, serves as the Resiliency Center Director located in Grand Blanc. The Director provides leadership, guidance and oversight of all program-related activities, including advocacy, contracting, partnerships, navigation support, and outreach to survivors of mass violence crimes who are victims, family members, responders, witnesses, volunteers, and the affected community-at-large. The Director also serves as the main point of contact for the Center’s administrative office for all activities and communication related to the Center and works to meet the changing needs of the community. Performs related work as required.
This position is contingent based upon continued funding.
Minimum Requirements:
Educational Requirements
Year(s) of Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, non-profit or organizational management, public relations, communications, marketing, legal, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Five years of work experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to the duties of the position including a minimum of one year of experience working with trauma impacted individuals and/or providing victim services is required.
Additional Requirements:
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, holidays, or irregular hours to meet the needs of the Resiliency Center.
Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License, current automobile insurance, and the use of personal vehicle during work hours. Employee must maintain valid licensure to retain employment.
Preferences:
Knowledge and previous work history in the non-profit sector. Skills in grant-writing and grant management. Previous experience working with victims of trauma.
Previous experience with personnel management, program development and operation, management of sub-contractors and partnerships, and volunteer engagement are desired.
Essential Physical Demands:
- Vision – Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations.

- Lifting, Standing, and Walking With or Without Reasonable Accommodations:
- Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis
- Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
- Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
- Position will require the ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
