Inventory Control Manager | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and strategies to optimize stock levels.
• Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet production schedules and minimize carrying costs.
• Oversee and execute regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze inventory data to identify discrepancies, root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehousing departments to ensure efficient material flow.
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) for tracking and reporting.
• Monitor and report on key inventory performance indicators, including accuracy, turns, and obsolescence.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory control or materials management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and inventory management software.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, including cycle counting, ABC analysis, and demand forecasting.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt preferred)
• Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel)
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Experience with ERP system implementation or advanced module configuration (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
