Environmental Test Chamber Test Technician
Test Technician - Environmental Test Chambers
Key Responsibilities:
- Connect electrical systems of environmental test chambers according to wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering specifications.
 - Perform start-up and functional testing of all chamber components including refrigeration, electrical, heating, humidification, and control systems.
 - Verify proper operation of chambers, identifying and resolving issues before shipment.
 - Troubleshoot and collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to troubleshoot and correct any functional discrepancies.
 - Document test results, including temperatures, voltages, pressures, alarms, and any non-conformities found.
 - Assist with final system calibration and adjustments to ensure performance meets design specifications.
 - Ensure compliance with safety protocols and electrical codes while performing testing activities.
 - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
 - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.
 
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in, HVAC, or mechanical fields preferred.
 - 2+ years of experience in electrical testing, troubleshooting, or related manufacturing roles.
 - Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including electrical and refrigeration schematics, mechanical drawings, and test procedures.
 - Familiarity with Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVA), refrigeration systems, and industrial control systems a plus.
 - Proficient in using electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, and pressure gauges.
 - Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
 - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
 
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, and work on equipment for extended periods.
 - Lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
 - Use of hand tools and PPE as required.
 
Salary: $30 to $45 Hourly
