Position Overview

Join us in the summer of 2026 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking efficient and professional Catering Staff who embody our core values and are committed to nurturing young artists. As a part of our Catering team, you'll play a major role in events that we host for guests, donors, and professional artists while fully immersing yourself in the unique environment that only a summer camp can offer..

What You Get To Do

• Food Preparation: Assist with cooking, plating, and setting up dishes in compliance with food safety standards.
• Event Setup: Arrange tables, chairs, linens, utensils, and décor according to client specifications.
• Food Presentation: Ensure that food and beverages are attractively displayed and replenished as needed.
• Customer Service: Greet guests, answer questions about menu items, and accommodate special dietary requests.
• Serving Food and Drinks: Provide buffet service, plated service, or pass-around hors d'oeuvres and drinks as per the event style.
• Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness during and after the event, ensuring all equipment and serving areas are sanitized.

What You Get

• Compensation starting at $19/hour
• Flexible start and end dates for the summer season.
• Early sign-on bonus and successful completion bonuses are available for $50/each.
• Referral Bonus Eligible: Bring a friend! If you refer someone to this position who works full-time and completes their contract in good standing, you will receive a $500 bonus.
• Meals provided for each shift worked.
• 10% tuition discount for Discovery Camp or 50% Interlochen Arts Camp for dependents
• 20% discount for tickets to most summer concerts.
• 15% discount on merchandise from Scholarshop and food/beverages from Melody Freeze

This is a seasonal position located in Interlochen, Michigan. Housing is not included for this position , and employees are responsible for arranging their own accommodations.

What You Need

• Availability 6/17/2026 - 8/16/2026
• Previous related experience working in food service desired.
• Able to work in an outdoor environment for an extended period.
• No specific skills necessary, we will train.
• Able to multitask, be able to prepare for more than one catered event on the same day
• Must be available at nights and on weekends
• At least 18 years of age
• 2 years related experience preferred
