Chemical Lab Technician

We are pleased to recruit for a company whose corporate purpose is to create chemistry for a sustainable future and has been doing so for 150 years. Their portfolio ranges from chemicals, plastics, performance products and crop protection products to oil and gas. Their products and solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring nutrition and improving quality of life. Our client is expanding and seeking a Chemical Lab Technician in Southfield, MI.

Responsibilities:

· Duties include, but are not limited to, mixing chemicals, Spraying paint electrostatically or pneumatically, testing paint samples and physical test panels, and documentation of activities.

Requirements:

· Lab experience in a paint environment will be a plus.

· Performing experiments and familiarity with basic chemical mixing is required

· Experience in vendor management

· Ordering materials, cataloging materials is a plus

· Experience in technical documentation desired

· Basic knowledge of chemical instrumentation required

· Basic knowledge of chemical compatibility required

· Basic knowledge of chemical handling and chemical storage required

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Education: B.S. in Chemistry

Location: Southfield, MI 48033

Pay Rate: The pay range for this position is $24.00 – 25.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Work Schedule : Days 8:00a-4:30p Mon-Fri

Length of Assignment: Contract - hire
