Territory Associate

Landscape Forms
Kalamazoo, MI

Job Description

Job Description

The Territory Associate is a strategic partner to the Business Development Representative (BDR), driving the process excellence necessary for the sales team to remain market focused. This role owns the end-to-end follow-up and closing process for projects below a defined dollar threshold, ensuring those opportunities are nurtured effectively into orders. Through partnerships with territory BDRs and active management of territory shared correspondence, this position maintains team alignment and provides continuity across all project activity. Proficiency in Salesforce and the Microsoft Office Suite is imperative for managing these workflows. Success in this role requires a proactive, self-starter mindset characterized by exceptional organizational skills and flexibility to navigate shifting priorities. The ideal candidate is a skilled multi-tasker, adept at juggling administrative demands while maintaining the focus necessary to drive projects forward through high-level team collaboration.

Benefits: Landscape Forms takes pride in offering a competitive benefits package including, but not limited to, insurance benefits (available your first day), 401(k), family and parenting leaves, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, quarterly bonuses, and paid time off.

How You Contribute:

  • Implement the company's Go-To-Market Strategy in partnership with the territory BDR(s).
  • Responsible for the funnel lifecycle, ensuring all opportunities below the regional dollar threshold are tracked, nurtured, and successfully converted into closed orders.
  • Partner with BDRs to stay ahead of client needs, handling shared correspondence and follow-ups as needed to keep projects moving forward without delay.
  • Partner with BDRs to co-manage Salesforce data, ensuring pipeline accuracy and high-level CRM hygiene to drive territory strategy.
  • Act as the central point of contact for multi-segment opportunities, facilitating internal communication across business units to provide the customer with a unified, streamlined purchasing experience.
  • Provide targeted assistance to BDRs on late-stage opportunities, acting as a closing specialist to help navigate final hurdles and drive orders across the finish line while the BDR maintains primary project lead.
  • Serve as a key liaison between sales and internal departments to advocate for project needs and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with territory contractors, serving as a reliable point of contact for project finalization and a seamless ordering experience.
  • Collaborate as a peer with BDRs to execute project specific tasks – such as sample coordination and documentation – directly removing operational hurdles to accelerate and secure the close.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge to provide consultative technical guidance to clients.

Criteria for Success:

  • Upbeat, positive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment; creative problem-solver with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
  • Eager to learn and develop within a competitive manufacturing setting; proven self-direction with a strong customer-centric focus.
  • High-level communication abilities, capable of explaining technical information to non-technical audiences; effective phone, email, and presentation skills emphasizing clarity, confidence, and precision; strong listening and follow-up capabilities.
  • Excellent people skills, able to foster effective relationships and work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and external customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred, with 3–5 years of sales or customer service experience; strong decision-making and analytical skills; basic math proficiency and familiarity with measurement tools, construction, and installation.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, sit, or walk for up to 5 hours.
  • This is a hybrid position, allowing you to work from home and in the office. You may be required to work in a noisy or hot environment and around moving machinery
