Centurion Security Solutions is an Event Security company based in Grand Rapids, MI. We have been in operation since 2013 and have grown exponentially since our founding. We currently staff 300+ employees and are on track to cover 700+ event this year . As we continue to grow, we are always looking for responsible individuals interested in the safety and security of others.

EVENT LOCATIONS:

The vast majority of our staff are based out of Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo and Muskegon.

As a company, we work in a variety of locations, mainly in and around the Western/Central Michigan areas including:

- Grand Rapids

- Lansing

- Kalamazoo

- Muskegon

- South Haven

VENUES/MAJOR EVENTS:

Over the years we have fostered key relationships with some of the largest Venues/Organizations in Michigan including:

- Michigan State University

- Western Michigan University

- Electric Forest Festival

- Lost Lands Festival

- Gridlife (Gridlife Midwest, Gridlife Summer Apex)

...in addition to several others.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HOURS:

Each Event will vary slightly on size and scope. Specific details are provided before each event to scheduled staff.

This is a part-time only position only . Employees are classified as "on demand" (w-4 tax status). This means that eligible events are posted and staff is selected based on a variety of factors.

We offer very flexible scheduling , allowing the employee to determine how many hours they are available to work and during what times. (i.e. you can be as available as you choose to be). However, the more available you are, the easier it is to be scheduled.

There is not a minimum number of shifts required per year.

JOB DUTIES:

• Monitor secured areas (i.e. stages, stadiums, parking structures, venue perimeters, etc.)
• Screen patrons for prohibited items at event venues
• Roam assigned areas for prohibited items/behaviors, medical situations, or general disruptions/concerns
• Provide leadership and direction in emergencies and assist emergency personnel as needed.
• Make contact with police when needed for law enforcement or order maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience is NOT required. We will evaluate your experience and qualifications and utilize your skills appropriately.
• Experience/qualifications, however, may assist during the hiring and scheduling process.

All applicants must possess, agree to, and/or have the following:

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Display a high standard of ethical conduct
• Be able to stand and/or walk for an entire shift (8-12+ hours)
• Pass an employment background investigation

• Ability to work flexible hours
• Willingness/ ability to travel
• Provide a detailed resume of relevant job experience and training
• CPL/ First Aid Certification(s)
