Manager Transport Logistics
:
Responsibilities: Essential Duties: - Strategically plan and manage transportation to support inbound/outbound material movement to all U.S. points as well as MX and CN.
- Perform lane analysis and align best carrier mix to support corporate objectives for price and service.
- Negotiate parcel, LTL, FTL spot and annual pricing agreements.
- Track industry activity for benchmarking and supporting corporate objectives.
- Serve as corporate resource for specialized freight moves, data requirements, customer shipment issue resolution.
- Keep track of activity, quality of service, delivery times, and transport costs.
- Establish annual transportation operating budget.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the company.
- Perform all job-related tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications: Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience (Preferred): - Proven working experience as a Transport/Logistics Manager.
- BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Microsoft Office Software required. SAP preferred.
- Proficient in standard logistics software.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
