Pay: Starting at $31.37 to $38.81 based on experience Shifts Available: Days 6:00AM to 2:30PM M- F Night 5:15PM - 5:30AM 2-2-3 Schedule Schedule: Depending on Skill Level and Business Need. - Diagnose faulty production and related plant equipment with the minimum amount of supervision using the provided schematics, manuals, and drawings. Be able to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical problems, troubleshoot electrical problems and have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies and be able to train others in doing these responsibilities.
- Be able to complete a set up and process the line in from scratch after a change over.
- Understand the functions of a lip roller and bagger so new products can run through this equipment, this will involve running trials, processing product in if the product does not satisfy the auxiliary equipment demands.
- Conduct R&D trials on the shop floor and in the Tech center
- Identify faulty parts and provide proper nomenclature in the form of a requisition in order that spares or replacements can be ordered
- Be knowledgeable of what and where spare parts are in the stores room and to observe stores room withdrawal and return procedure
- General working knowledge of machine shop equipment
- Must be team-oriented with leadership qualities and capable of leading co-workers in assigned tasks.
- Will be expected to maintain necessary records and established maintenance procedures.
- Understand and operate the sap and RTC programs within Pactiv
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Responsible for additional specific duties related to each shift as assigned by maintenance Team Leader
- Work, train and have open communication with all members of your work group team
- Walk story boards though out work group and develop action plans for resolution to repeatable failures
- Work with other members of the workgroup on action items, which will improve line efficiency, by taking the lead on the line improvements, design of experiments and projects
- 24/7 On-call phone support for assistance/reporting to/by team
- Other duties as necessary
- Ability to communicate effectively and work closely and productively as part of a cross-functional team
- Ability to create and/or exhibit an atmosphere of openness, honesty, trust, and teamwork
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed without loss of effectiveness and composure
- Ability to operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as required
- Demonstrates ability to utilize standard hand tools
- Ability to operate basic machine shop equipment
- Demonstrates advanced mechanical aptitude and abilities
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of production technological methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilities
- Three to five years of experience in a related field
- High school graduate required
- Completion of a vocational or trade school curriculum from an authorized school with a concentration in electro-mechanical courses desired
- Must be able to read and use precision type instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Speaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetings
- Work an 8 – 10-hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods
- Climb
- Heed safety warnings, devices, and alarms
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Possess an adequate ability to do problem solving, establish cause, and affect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment
