Local Big Brothers has been serving Flushing homeowners for over 10 years with quality roofing, siding, door and window installation, and handyman services. We're a small team (3-5 people) who believe in doing things right—and that includes training the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

What You'll Do

• Learn roofing, siding, door, and window installation from experienced professionals
• Assist with material prep, job site setup, and cleanup
• Help with measurements, cutting, and basic installations under supervision
• Gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop
• Interact with homeowners professionally and respectfully
• Follow safety protocols and maintain organized work sites
• Ask questions, take feedback, and commit to continuous learning

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Physical fitness—you'll be lifting, climbing, and on your feet all day
• Good attitude and ability to take direction
• Basic math skills (measuring, calculating materials)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred (but not required):

• Some construction, carpentry, or trade experience
• Own basic hand tools
• Interest in building a long-term career in the trades

Not Required:

• Years of experience—we'll train the right person
• Certifications—we'll help you get them as you grow
