Job Title: Machine Operator – Tool and Die Machining Shop

Location: Temperance, MI

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Machine Operator to join our Tool and Die Machining Shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various machining equipment to produce precision tool and die components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and manual machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, and other tool and die machining equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to produce accurate components.
• Ensure machining processes meet quality standards and specifications.
• Perform routine inspections and measurements using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify dimensions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to minimize downtime.
• Document production activities, machine settings, and inspection results accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a machine operator in a tool and die or precision machining environment.
• Proficiency with CNC programming and operation is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery safely.
• Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
