MTSS Paraprofessional

Required Qualifications:

• Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
• Alternative applicable qualifications may be considered Experience or training in MTSS interventions and progress monitoring preferred.
  

Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Successful experience working with elementary-aged students.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of content expectations/standards pertinent to the grade level.
• Experience working as part of a collaborative team.
• Can demonstrate proficiency in providing reading/math interventions within the context of a broader MTSS program.
• No health restrictions, able to work with students with physical and/or behavior components of their disability
• Ability to support teachers and MTSS interventionists by implementing intervention plans, collecting and tracking student data, and providing feedback to guide instructional decisions. Ability to work flexibly across Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention groups.
  

A successful candidate will be able to:

• Relate to and instruct children in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
• Develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas.
• Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.
• Contribute to a professional learning team.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.
• Work with students with a range of special needs. Support MTSS teams by implementing targeted interventions, monitoring student progress, and helping to maintain fidelity of MTSS frameworks in the classroom.
  

Salary: As per negotiated district contract.
