Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Bay City, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for guests and staff. Your routine patrols and visibility help to foster a secure environment, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication sets you apart. This is a driving post, so you will also have the opportunity to navigate the property and play a key part in supporting the Allied Universal values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unwanted behavior.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues within the location.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and customers with directions, information, and general security-related support as needed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site staff to maintain a welcoming atmosphere while supporting security-related operations.
  • Complete all required daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
