Work Arrangement
The role is onsite for 5 days and 40 hours per week

The Role
Accountable for providing Workplace Safety technical and regulatory advice, mentoring, instructing, and coaching to site/functional operations. They are responsible for assisting Site Leadership with maintaining compliance with all GM Workplace Safety and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do
Working in partnership with the local site leadership to support Workplace Safety cultural transformation
Assists in Investigating accidents and/or injuries; conducts safety audit, surveys, and inspections to verify compliance levels
Assist in the development and administration of plant safety rules and procedures
Develop basic safety programs to reduce job related injuries and implements as directed
Provide Health & Safety support to the organization (i.e.: attends safety related meetings, participates in safety committees)
Creates reports and presentations as directed
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
BS/BA Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene or related discipline or equivalent experience
1 year experience of basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial safety
Strong interpersonal skills including facilitation, negotiation and problem resolution
Ability to work independently, take initiative, set and execute to work plans with minimum direction
Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization and project management skills
Proficient in MS Office and related software programs
