What you’ll need to succeed as a Paralegal at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • 1 year of professional paralegal experience in commercial real estate

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2+ years of paralegal experience in real estate, commercial contracts, and customer collections
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills, including the ability to create polished MS PowerPoint presentations and complex formulas in MS Excel
  • Proficiency in legal and factual research
  • Familiarity with Serengeti Legal Tracker

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Provide paralegal support for real estate transactions, including leases, acquisitions, dispositions, and commercial real estate litigations
  • Assist with the coordination and management of legal matters (transactional and litigation), while developing and implementing efficient workflows that support collaboration between the Legal Department, outside counsel, and business partners.
  • Assist with customer collection matters, including review of intake documentation from business partners, coordinating file transfers to outside counsel, and recurring reporting on amounts recovered.
  • Support small claims matters related to LTL cargo claims
  • Conduct legal and factual research, including reviewing and retrieving court documents, contracts, property records, and title searches.
  • Maintain databases and matter management systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of records.
  • Support Sales with ESG-related requests.
  • Assist with special projects and provide general paralegal support as needed
