Experienced Fertilizer Technician

Responsibilities

  • Apply fertilizers and related products to residential and commercial properties using riding and walk-behind spreaders.
  • Mix chemicals safely and accurately according to established procedures.
  • Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Maintain an efficient work pace to stay on schedule and meet daily targets.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to company standards during all applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of applications and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Be available to work daytime hours, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fertilizer application or a related field.
  • Certifications in 3A, 3B, 6, 7A, and 7F are preferred; willingness to obtain certifications with company support is accepted.
  • Knowledge of safe chemical mixing and handling procedures.
  • Familiarity with riding and walk-behind spreaders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company systems.
  • Valid Chauffeur’s Driver’s License and medical card required; CDL is a plus but not required.

Compensation

Pay: $18 to $24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
