Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership and operational oversight for the Hematology/Oncology division within a large medical group.
  
• Serve as Associate Medical Director for the Cancer Service Line, guiding systemwide cancer care strategy across five hospitals and multiple ambulatory locations.
  
• Manage the strategic oversight of clinical, academic, and research programs, including the Bone Marrow Transplant program and infusion services.
  
• Collaborate with academic partners to advance investigator-initiated clinical trials, precision medicine, and population health initiatives.
  
• Mentor early-career investigators and support faculty development while supervising academic and fellowship training programs.
  
• Maintain an active clinical practice within the division, dedicating approximately 25% of time to patient care.
  
• Develop innovative care models for both inpatient and outpatient oncology delivery to ensure best practices across the health system.
  

Qualifications & Credentialing

• Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in both Hematology and Medical Oncology.
  
• Education: Successful completion of a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship is required.
  
• Experience: This role requires an experienced physician with a history of progressive leadership (such as Vice Chair, Chief, Program Director, or Associate Division Head); new graduates will not be accepted.
  
• Licensure & Certification: Must possess or be willing to obtain a Michigan Medical License. Valid DEA, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
  
• Background: A clean malpractice and licensing history is required. A recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) must be provided at the time of presentation.
  
• Visa Support: H1B visa support is available and must be disclosed at submission; J1 visas are not supported.
  
• Submission Requirement: Candidates must not have applied directly to this health system prior to agency submission.
